The common iora is a small passerine bird found across the tropical Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Common iora are frequently seen in wooded areas, scrub, and cultivated lands. I sighted a pair of iora as I was bird-walking near Mysore. As soon as they feel that they are sighted they keep moving behind leaves. They are very active while foraging.
