Spotted doves become noisy and obvious during their courtship. Spotted doves may breed throughout the year; although most activities are observed between September to January. Males perform fly up to 30 or 40 meters into the sky, clapping their wings loudly. They may also walk in front of the females fluffing up their black and white neck patches, and shacking its head up and down. Then they settle pecking one another.
